Dr. Moumita Chowdhury, Assistant Professor at Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Kolkata, is a distinguished academician and researcher in pharmaceutical sciences. With 14 years of teaching and 10 years of research experience, Dr. Chowdhury specializes in polysaccharide extraction, chemical modification, polymer grafting, nanoformulation development, and advanced drug delivery systems. She has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the prestigious AICTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Award (2021).

Dr. Chowdhury holds patents for innovations such as amphiphilic polysaccharide copolymers. Her prolific academic contributions and research output encompass over fifteen peer-reviewed articles in reputed scopus indexed journals and book chapters. She is also working on funded research projects, guided over ten M.Pharm students and involved in organization of the conferences and act as external evaluator for the presentations at national and international conferences. Her recent publications address groundbreaking approaches in oral bioavailability enhancement, advanced biopolymers for drug delivery and nano-based therapeutics, biomedical applications of polysaccharide-functionalized nanoparticles, reflecting her leadership in pharmaceutical innovation. Serving as a mentor and scientific evaluator, Dr. Chowdhury's research shapes the next generation of pharmaceutical innovation. She is recognized for her commitment to advancing pharmaceutical science through both cutting-edge investigation and impactful academic leadership. She has also authored a book on Social Pharmacy and engages in public healthcare and community outreach initiatives.
