 The second edition and first bilingual version of celebrated photo book ‘Intimacies : অন্তরঙ্গতা’ by veteran artist Kushal Ray . 

বর্ষীয়ান আলোকচিত্রী কুশল রায়ের বহু প্রশংসিত বই ‘Intimacies : অন্তরঙ্গতা’ র নতুন দ্বিভাষিক সংস্করণ। 

Kushal Ray's decade-long work on an extended family in Kolkata's Kalighat area is more of effort to explore relationships and Intimacies that the members enjoyed among themselves than any perceived social documentary work on a joint family system. Being very close to the family has made his work, to a large extent, personal and autobiographical. During his long association he was witness to and participant in the joys, losses and finally disintegration of the Chatterjee family. In this celebrated work between 1998 and 2009 he photographed the home, tracing the ordinary but fascinating and complex lives and authored an ode to Manju Chatterjee, the backbone of the family. 

Kushal Ray, a sports journalist turned photographer and painter, has taken part in several major international photography exhibitions. His work has been published in a number of prestigious photography magazines.He is associated with Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC) and Emami Art.

এক দশকেরও বেশি সময় ধরে কুশল রায় কলকাতার কালীঘাট অঞ্চলের একটি যৌথ পরিবারের সদস্যদের জীবন ও যাপনকে অনুপুঙ্খভাবে ফ্রেমবন্দি করেছেন। চ্যাটার্জি পরিবারের সদস্যদের পারস্পরিক ভাব ভালোবাসা টানাপোড়েন ও শিল্পীর তাদের সাথে গড়ে ওঠা অন্তরঙ্গ সম্পর্ক হয়ে উঠেছে এই বইয়ের কেন্দ্রবিন্দু । ১৯৯৮ থেকে ২০০৯ এই দীর্ঘ সময় শিল্পী এই পরিবারের আনন্দ, দুঃখ ও বিচ্ছেদের সাক্ষী হয়ে উঠেছেন । পাঠক সমাদৃত এই বইটির বিষয় আপাত সাধারণ কিন্তু শিল্পী তার উপস্থাপনার মুন্সিয়ানায় এক আকর্ষণীয় ও জটিল মনস্তাত্ত্বিক জগতকে উন্মোচিত করেছেন।  

কুশল রায় দ্য টেলিগ্রাফ পত্রিকার প্রাক্তন ক্রীড়া সাংবাদিক ও সুপরিচিত আলোকচিত্রশিল্পী । তার ছবি দেশে বিদেশের নানান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোকচিত্র পত্রিকা ও প্রদর্শনীতে সমাদৃত। তিনি KCC কলকাতা ও ইমামি আর্ট গ্যালারির সাথে যুক্ত আছেন।
